For the third year in a row we are pleased to partner with the Social Documentary Network to present highlights from the 2021 ZEKE Award for documentary photography. This year BRIDGE Gallery has curated the show from over 100 submissions to highlight 19 photographers from around the world. It’s a stunningly diverse show, both stylistically and geographically.

As has been the pattern for the past 2 years Covid is dictating how and when we show work at the gallery, and will continue to do so for the near future. In deference to Covid upticks and people’s uneasiness, we will forego a conventional opening reception for this show. Instead we’ll extend the hours for opening day in the hope that the numbers will be spread out over a longer period of time, and expand the open hours for the duration of the show. As much as we love entertaining crowds at our opening receptions we feel it would be irresponsible at this time.

So, the expanded hours for this show are as follows: Saturday the 8th will be 12:00 — 6:00. From then on it will be Saturday and Sunday from 12:00-5:00, Tuesday and Thursday from 4:00 to 7:00. Hopefully these expanded hours will encourage more people to come and spread the numbers out a bit. As usual, the back door will be open, air purifiers are in use and masks will be required.

We’re convinced that things will return to some form of normal eventually and assure you that in the meantime we’ll be here presenting stimulating photography in any way we can.

Our audience has expanded dramatically during Covid and we are deeply grateful for the support that you’ve all shown us.

Looking forward to seeing you all in the coming weeks…
