The Don Steppe
On 9 June 2023 in Alghero (Ateliers, Piazza Sotgiu) the Asincronie | Documentary Cinema and Photography Festival will open his 4° edition with a photography exhibition in collaboration with the Festival of Ethical Photography of Lodi with the project The Don Steppe by Misha Maslennikov, finalist of the competition in the “World Report Award | Documenting Humanity” in 2022.
The infinite landscape of the steppe, the everyday life, the slow rhythms, almost out of time of the people who live there: “The Don Steppe” is an intense, precious black and white story of a Russia apparently very far from war images that we see every day on TV, signed by photographer Misha Maslennikov.
The Festival is conceived and organized by the cultural association 4CaniperStrada, a group of filmmakers and photographers active in Sardinia since 2007, authors of documentary films, photographic projects, audiovisual workshops, exhibitions, reviews and publications.
