BarTur Photo Awards
BarTur Photo Award 2022 opens at the IFF Gallery on 30 June. The exhibition will feature the winning works of photographers from around the world, who are championing a range of social, economical and environmental issues. BarTur Photo Award, a non-profit organization, honors photographers for their exceptional work and strives to amplify women’s perspectives in the photography industry.
Celebrating photographers who challenge how we view the world.
A key focus of the BarTur Photo Award has always been the immense power photography has in influencing the way that we understand and engage with the world around us.
Using photography as a means to express ideas and values, the BarTur Photo Award 2022 has selected photographers who are pushing important issues to the forefront, crossing boundaries and help bring communities together.
In this exhibition, The BarTur Photo Award is delighted to present all of our 101 winners from 2022 who have been taking images from across the world, championing a range of social, economical and environmental issues that are impacting so many people, animals as well as our environment.
We are delighted to showcase the inaugural Ann Lesley Bar-Tur Award 2022, which aims to celebrate the breadth of women photographers who are creating exceptional work and to amplify their perspectives where sexism still hinders equal access to this critical industry and art form.
Congratulations to all our winners and thank you to all our judges and sponsors. The BarTur Photo Award, is a not for profit organization, conceived in 2011 by the Bar-Tur family in memory of their wife and mother Ann Lesley Bar-Tur, who was a talented British artist who died of breast cancer when she was only 37.
