Retrospective. Lith
The exhibition of Anna Danilochkina’s photographs, made in the alternative technique of litho-printing, is a contemplation of the ordinary in an artistic refraction. It is both a photographic observation of reality and a masterful transformation of the subject, filled with mystical mysteries of everyday life, obviously hidden and invisible to the naked eye. Danilochkina, as a versatile photographer, performs in various genres, where she skilfully combines and unites such trends as street, documentary and pictorialism. It is no exaggeration to say that Anna’s work is Poetry with its inherent rhythm, imagery and meaning, in the highest meaning of the parallels mentioned above. The exposition ‘Retrospective. Lith’ includes stories from everyday life in Moscow, from trips around Russia: Kirzhach, Tutaev, villages of Vladimir, Lipetsk and Moscow regions, Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, as well as from foreign travels. The exhibition presents photographs from the collections ‘Land of Special Purpose’ (Solovki) 2001-2008, ‘Astana’ 2011, ‘Kamchatka’ 2010, ‘Kosuta (The Story of One Family)’ 2007-2014, ‘Throne Holidays’ 2003-2022, ‘Roman Postcards’ 2011.
