The concept of the book is that “at the intersection of word and image a new thought or image is born. From one author — one photo and one text, so the book is called “One to One. The photographs and texts have not been edited.

One for One
102 photos and stories
102 Russian and foreign photographers who supported the Children’s Hearts Foundation sent in one photograph and one story each. The book provides an insight into the wide range of creative challenges faced by contemporary photographers.
The idea for this book grew out of a desire to tell a different story about photography and photographers than is usually the case. The publishers decided to collect under one cover not “icons”, the best photos of the project participants, but images that are significant to them. Those that have important stories, experiences and thoughts for the authors.
102 photographers from Armenia, Belarus, Russia, the United States and Ukraine have chosen one photo and written texts. The result is a unique collection of photographs and stories, a reflection on the problems that contemporary photographers are dealing with.
